Rainbow Companies is Hiring a Director of Operations - Project Manager Near Charlotte, NC

Growth Solutions (a division of Rainbow Companies) is seeking a Director of Operations to join our team! Growth Solution is innovating the way trees growing near utility infrastructure are managed and cared for. Growth Solutions operations span across the United States and serve the electric utility vegetation management segment by providing growth regulation technology. Our tree growth regulator service produces predictable results that reduce pruning needs and improve tree health, transforming how the utility industry is caring for trees in the right-of-way.
The Director of Operations is accountable for the overall performance and growth of the division. You have experience managing people. Strong interpersonal skills, planning and organizational skills, time management and a drive for results are critical to success in this position. Our standards are industry leading and award-winning. This role is remote and requires countrywide travel, 25% of the time. Our ideal candidate is located in one of these cities:
Kansas City / Saint Louis, MO - Denver, CO - Dallas / Fort Worth, TX - Lincoln / Omaha, NE - Nashville, TN - Charlotte, NC
What You Will Do:
  • Daily Management and Leadership of the Growth Solutions Team.
  • Lead teams to create and execute operational plans that deliver on overall strategy.
  • Focuses on long term development and growth of the division, and team members.
  • Oversee business development and workflow.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • 4-year degree in Forestry, Horticulture, Natural Resources or related fields
  • Background in Utility, Vegetation Management, Forestry or related fields
  • 5-10 years of progressively responsible management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a business unit.
  • Ability to handle multiple business strategies and projects.
  • Ability to work and adapt to ongoing transition and change.
  • Demonstrated ability to support business growth.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand financial reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ISA Arborist Certification (or ability to attain within 1 year w/ utility specialist - preferred)

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
