Role Responsibilities

• The Senior Accountant position reports to the Controller and is responsible for financial statement preparation for a multi-company enterprise
• Reconcile sub-leger to general ledger account balances
• Balance Sheet reconciliations to include, Cash, Prepaid Expenses, Insurance, Fixed Assets, Property Taxes, Debt
• Review of all payroll related balance sheet accounts
• Participate in the month-end close
• Prepare financial statements for all entities, including consolidated 
• Maintain fixed assets schedules
• File sales & use, withholding & unemployment taxes, in multiple states
• Support annual audit of financial statements and 5500 audit
• Participate in annual renewal of insurance policies 
• Supervise accounting support staff as needed
• Work on special projects as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Above average Excel skills required
• CPA, preferred
• 10 years progressive accounting experience, preferred
• Solid communication, technology, organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively
