We're looking for an dynamic and dedicated Senior Data Scientistto support our customer and join our passionate team of high-impact problem solvers.

About the role:

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be building, maintaining, and enhancing AI and predictive models to extract valuable insights and support decision-making processes in the Department of Defense (DoD) enterprise. Your week may involve applying statistical techniques, including regression, clustering, and more, to analyze large datasets. It could also involve working with multi-vendor teams to identify business problems and develop data-driven solutions. Your day to day will include collaborating with engineers to optimize data pipelines and ensure data quality and you may create data visualizations to communicate findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

What we are looking for:

• 5 years of hands-on experience in data science and machine learning
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or equivalent for data analysis
• Strong knowledge of statistical techniques and their application to real-world problems
• Experience with databases, data modeling, and data structures
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Experience with Cloud-based systems and AI/Machine Learning development (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Proficiency in querying languages (e.g., SQL)
• Hands-on experience writing and optimizing queries to extract and manipulate data from various sources
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Obtain Security within the first 90 days of employment with Raft
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Highly preferred:

• Experience with the US Public Sector
• Experience with unmanned systems technologies, such as UAVs, UGVs, autonomous drones, or robotics
• Experience working with sensor data, time-series data, and geospatial data collected from unmanned platforms

Clearance Requirements:

• Active Secret security clearance

Work Type:

• Hybrid (Tampa, FL)
• May require up to 10% travel

Salary Range:

• $110,000 - $180,000
• The determination of compensation is predicated upon a candidate's comprehensive experience, demonstrated skill, and proven abilities
