Insurance Verification Manager

IVT Radiologix Department;

FT; 40 hours per week;

Job Responsibilities:

The Insurance Verification Manager is responsible for overseeing daily activities of the Insurance Verification Authorization team to provide accurate performance and exceptional customer service to patients, doctors, and imaging center staff. Responsible for decisions regarding hiring, termination, staff evaluations, coaching and counseling employees.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes insurance authorization trends.
  • Decreases denials due to authorizations and errors.
  • Manages daily call volume and phone systems.
  • Manages daily operation of insurance authorization and verification worklists.
  • Assists in the dissemination and follow-up of insurance participation and contracts, and other newly introduced material.
  • Manages, motivates and supports staff to succeed.
  • Provides input on Employee Performance Reviews.
  • Responsible for time card processing and attendance tracking.
  • Manages time effectively and efficiently.
  • Follows OSHA regulations, RadNet and site protocols, policies and procedures.

Follows HIPAA, compliance, privacy, safety and confidentiality standards at all times.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience:

  • Ability to type accurately with precise data entry skills.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and the ability to multi-task and work under pressure effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Ability to schedule and register patients rapidly and accurately.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent telecommunication and verbal communication.
  • Ability to share information effectively and provide appropriate direction to team members.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three years related call center or customer service management preferred.
  • Healthcare registration, physician billing and/or medical reception/medical office experience preferred.
  • Experience working with a computerized scheduling system preferred.

$24.66- 26.40 / hour
