Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our team. As a Dentist, you will provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages. To excel in this position, you should have a strong background in general dentistry and be skilled in performing various dental procedures. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine dental examinations, including oral cancer screenings and x-rays
- Diagnose and treat dental conditions, such as cavities, gum disease, and tooth decay
- Develop personalized treatment plans for patients based on their oral health needs
- Administer anesthetics to patients to minimize pain during procedures
- Perform dental procedures, such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and crowns
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care techniques
- Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists to ensure efficient patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical documentation systems (Dentrix, Epic, Eaglesoft)
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile dental office environment
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions
- Proficiency in using dental office software systems (Dentrix, Epic, Eaglesoft)
- Familiarity with medical records management and documentation
- Excellent clinical skills in performing various dental procedures
- Ability to work well with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health practices
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Valid state dental license in good standing
- Completion of a residency program preferred but not required
