Job Description

Radiant Insulation Systems has been servicing the Greater New York area for over half a century. We are the industry leader in providing the latest in foundation waterproofing, insulation and hardwood flooring (via our sister company E_M Custom Flooring) across Long Island.

We are seeking an experienced insulation Estimator to work alongside our growing team. This individual would be responsible for generating bid documents, on screen take-offs, and providing technical knowledge when needed. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of insulation within residential and commercial construction. They would also have practical understanding of hardwood flooring.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Review construction documents and understand scope of work to bid.

· Execute take-offs / field measure, inclusive of all insulation documentation for each bid.

· Prepare bids and cost analysis with in-house system.

· Recognize project constraints and/or needed upgrades.

· Work with clients to deliver a clear and well-defined proposal.

· Aggressively following up with potential customers to ensure bids are received.

· Review and analyze bids to conform to project specifications.

· Other office duties, projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Previous experience in a construction related company.

· Working knowledge in reading blueprints.

· Familiarity with Bluebeam, Excel and Microsoft Office.

· Strong communications and interpersonal skills.

· Must be able to efficiently multi-task.

· Excellent time management and organizational skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects.

· Professional, ethical and a team player willing to grow with the company.
