Radiant Health is a leading community mental health center dedicated to providing high-quality mental health services to individuals in Grant and Blackford Counties, Indiana. Committed to fostering a culture of compassion and well-being, Radiant Health seeks a dynamic and experienced professional to join its team as the Director of Nursing.

The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for administering and coordinating all aspects of nursing services on our 16 bed Inpatient Unit and medication clinic for Radiant Health. This position has oversight and responsibility for the provision of creating safe, effective and quality nursing care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current RN license, BSN. MSN preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in behavioral health: assessment, planning, provision, and evaluation of psychiatric nursing care to patients.
  • Background in developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures and protocols for care of patients.
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to behavioral hospital and med clinic administration.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Participate in the recruitment, selection, and retention of staff.
  • Responsible for overall nursing staff development including scheduling, training, supervising and evaluating.
  • Ensure that the inpatient unit and med clinics are staffed with appropriate resources to ensure high quality of care delivery.
  • Assure adequate supervision and evaluation processes for all staff members.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Meet hospital staffing and budget benchmarks.
  • Oversee patient satisfaction data and report out when required.
  • Analyze statistical data on inpatient programs to determine and respond to trends.
  • Act as a role model for excellent collaboration amongst Center departments, therapeutic treatment teams, and nursing care.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff on maintaining a high level of service and quality care.
  • Consults with Chief Medical Officer on overall appropriateness of patient care.
