About this Role:
Account Scope - Assigned regional account responsibility geography will be for SC, NC, and VA. This position would be responsible for existing and potential accounts designated as Safety and Industrial. Exclusions would include select Construction distributors (Evergreen & Sphere1 members), and some National account. Travel due to the geography of the region - travel will at times be as much as 75% out of town.
Additional Prospects/Responsibilities: Develop & Implement strategies to build successful campaigns around new product launches, seasonal promotions, prospect additional distributor accounts, and end user opportunities of significant volume within territory.
Position Summary: The Regional Sales Manager develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate sales goals and margin expectations. Primary day to day responsibilities include managing all sales related activities and customer relationships with assigned accounts in assigned geography. Customers in this market will primarily be Independent Regional Safety and Industrial distributors, with some potential select National Account responsibility. It is expected that the manager will develop excellent relationships with all current and prospective accounts in assigned territory. The manager is expected to develop an in-depth knowledge of our product lines as well as those of our primary competitors.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Meet and exceed defined sales growth requirement and specific targeted sales category expectations on an ongoing basis
• Prospect top potential distributors and end users not doing business with Radians
• Utilize CRM to develop Opportunity Pipelines and update weekly sales activities & opportunity sales status, special pricing
extended, key customer contact information as well as competitive information.
• Develop and implement strategies with inside sales to insure execution of Incentive Plan Eligibility Requirements (Top 75
accounts are called on quarterly, all assigned accounts should be called on in person three times per year, 20 end-user calls
per quarter).
• Provide Customers with new product information, promotions, discontinued product information.
• Utilize BI tool to create and produce regular sales volume reports by category prior to distributor sales visit / meetings
• Travel - due to the geography of the region - travel will at times be as much as 75% out of town.
• It is expected that all phone calls and emails from customers be answered within 24 hours and internal emails and phone calls
be returned the same day.
• Report critical customer and competitive information discovered in the field back to VP of sales and or the President.
• Regional, customer and Buying Group show attendance will be required periodically. It is expected that the Regional Manager
in the local market will manage setup, tear down, and arrange for their samples in advance of Buying Group or Regional event.
• Price Exception Requests in assigned territory require Product Management approval and will be filled out and submitted by
the Regional Manager
• Communicate customer product requirements / forecasts to Product Management & Purchasing in a timely manner to insure
highest possible service levels.
• Customer requests for potential new products are to be submitted to product management with the “New Product Request”
forms.
• Adhoc request.
• All other assigned duties.

• Heavy customer service/communication skills
• Excellent phone skills / etiquette
• Territory account management skills
• Top Producers who are skilled at multi tasking
• Prior territory safety products sales experience
• Ability to create and deliver presentations
• Must be willing & able to travel up to 75% of the time

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee has to occasionally stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; the employee is frequently required to walk; the employee is required to regularly sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee could potentially be exposed to the risk of electrical shock.
