Rackspace is Hiring a Director of Global Sales Training and Enablement (Hybrid - San Antonio, TX) Near San Antonio, TX

The Director of Global Sales Training and Enablement will build and transform the enablement team to be a world class global function directly focused on key areas related to training, on boarding, content and enablement, to support the productivity and success of all field facing team members (sales, customer success, SDR, solution architects, etc.) This highly visible role will collaborate with senior and executive leadership in all geographies to identify skills gaps, make solutions enablement recommendations, and lead enablement execution for the global sales strategy and operations team to drive revenue growth and expansion. Responsible for the development and dissemination of selling tools, collateral and training to drive incremental Rep productivity.
Create a competency model for field and inside sales. Leverage first line managers as agents of enablement responsibility forces come as well as other supporting roles assess the range of sales roles in terms of the development needs. Create, select, deploy, manage and measure sales training programs including classroom, workshop and online learning as well as all ongoing skills development needed. Liaise with business leaders and product, solution and marketing teams to create and distribute content to various sales resources. Develop, deploy and manage the organization's sales training and certification program. Support corporate and sales strategies and objectives. Ensure that sales is prepared to effectively sell against the competition. Integrate sales methodology and content training within the company's sales force automation application. Coordinate and manage sales communication strategy and field delivery. Stay informed on cutting edge tools and technology that may be leveraged to improve sales productivity. Set and manage the sales enablement budget.
Responsibilities
  • Build a trusted partnership with all stakeholder teams to ensure a deep understanding of their respective businesses to discover the critical enablement needs. (Private cloud, public cloud, operations, customer success, etc.)
  • Build out thorough understanding of current capabilities and gaps across all sales channels from acquisition through the customer life cycle across all geographies. (Organization and Individual)
  • Create and deliver training for pitch decks, talking points, competitive battle cards, product fact sheets, sales methodology, sales systems and consultative selling techniques.
  • Partner with field leadership teams and business leaders to design and deliver transformational training and enablement.
  • Build a rigorous process to ensure that sales enablement training is effective and continuously improved based on a culture of feedback.
  • Develop assessment process for both pre and post training to measure participants knowledge as well as efficacy of programs.
  • Create and manage all reporting and dashboards associated with providing regular updates and measuring ROI of all programs.
  • Manage teams to develop scalable enablement frameworks and ensure operational success
  • Work with directors, senior managers and professional staff to create and deliver impactful training programs
  • Build internal team of SME's to aid and delivery of training. Offer both TTT and certification of trainers.
  • Support all major enablement related revenue field events such as sales kickoff, mid year training, in person on boarding as well as upscaling and ever boarding training as needed.
  • Work with Rackspace University team internally to maintain website, keeping all content current and updated.
Qualifications
  • 10 plus years of progressively responsible experience in business operations, sales operations and/or sales, including a minimum of five years' experience setting strategy and direction for sales organizations.
  • Deep knowledge of Sales principles and practices
  • Proven ability to create and implement sales enablement training programs
  • Experience leading and motivating high performing teams and inspiring team confidence and respect mentoring, coaching, collaborating and providing clear direction, expectations, training, guidance, career growth opportunities and conflict resolution solid strategic planning skills combined with exceptional project management and execution capabilities
  • Strong analytical mindset combined with the ability to analyze data and report
  • Collaborative mindset with leadership capabilities and the ability to influence
  • Clear strategic thinker with vision and with the ability to execute on priorities
  • Strong project management skills including scheduling, workstream management, risk management, status reporting and resource management
  • Highly proficient and technical/sales content creation and presentation to both internal and external audiences
  • Must be comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Previous experience working at startup environment
  • Bachelor's Degree or combination of education & applicable experience required
  • Six Sigma or Project Management certification a plus
