Associate Golf Professional
Racine Country Club is seeking an Associate Golf Professional to join our team. The Associate Golf Professional assists the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional in the management of day-to-day Golf Operations of the facility. The position is responsible for supervising and managing total golf operations in the absence of the Head Golf Professional. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service and total satisfaction of all Members.Responsibilities
Racine Country Club is seeking an Associate Golf Professional to join our team. The Associate Golf Professional assists the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional in the management of day-to-day Golf Operations of the facility. The position is responsible for supervising and managing total golf operations in the absence of the Head Golf Professional. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service and total satisfaction of all Members.Responsibilities
- Responsible for all facets of golf operations, including the supervision and training of outside services, starters, and rangers
- Assist with Member check in; control and manage play
- Assist with Opening and Closing Procedures
- Assist in managing tournament operations and weekly events including planning, electronic and in person communication, pre-tournament event sheets, post tournament billing, promotion, preparation, scoring, prize distribution, and follow up.
- Assist D.O.G./HP with management of outside operations staff, rangers, and starters to ensure the highest quality of customer service is achieved
- Assist the HP with training all golf operations staff
- Assist in managing golf cart fleet, practice facility, and club storage
- Directly responsible for timely and consistently maintaining RCC’s USGA Handicap System
- Provide Club Repair and club fitting services to Members
- Assist in planning and budgeting for the golf operations
- Assist in the inventory control of hard goods, special orders, ordering procedures, receiving procedures, displays, and sales
- Play golf with a variety of Members of all skill levels
- Assist with the administrations of staff work schedules in accordance with the Human Resources Department
- Assist in coordinating golf activities with other departments
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times
- Level 2 PGA Apprentice or above
- PGA Class B Membership required
- Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations, and tournament operations required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Tournament Software
- Maintain a credible golf game and remain current on teaching innovations
- Customer service oriented and self-motivated
- Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills
- Bachelor’s degree or 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
