Location: Dallas,TX
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques, and providing ongoing reports. You will work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs. This role requires a deep understanding of data analysis methods and a strong grasp of databases, data warehousing, and BI tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
- Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects, Tableau), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks), and statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
- Bachelor s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or related field.
- Proven experience in data models and reporting packages.
- Ability to analyze large datasets.
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Statistics.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience in data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and practices.
