Cambium Learning Group is Hiring a Software Developer/Data Analyst Near Dallas, TX

Job Overview:

As a Software Developer/Data Analyst II at Cambium Assessment Inc., you will report to the Technical Director and play a crucial role in developing software and conducting detailed data analysis in a production environment. We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about leveraging technology and data to drive insights and decision-making. Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop software in a production environment for the purpose of creating custom reports or carrying out detailed data analysis.

  • Verify data quality to ensure accurate analysis and reporting

  • Prepare data according to detailed technical specifications documents

  • Work alongside other team members and project managers to support delivery of student assessment data

  • Develop new software or improve existing software used to carry out responsibilities of the team

  • Create innovative solutions to an extensive range of ad hoc and complex data analysis and reporting requests using python and associated packages.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, Masters Degree preferred, in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Bio-Statistics or related field.

  • Bachelor's plus 4 years of programming/data analysis experience including independent code development.

  • Master's plus 2 years of programming/data analysis experience with independent code development .

  • Technical Experiences Required (Python, Pandas, Dask, Polars, Pyarrow)

  • Experience managing package modules in a local environment

  • Document test cases and implement testing

  • Knowledge of R, SQL, and/or C# a plus

  • Familiar with GIT/Bitbucket for code repository
