Cambium Learning Group is Hiring a Data Insights Designer Near Dallas, TX

Job Overview:

The Data Insights Designer is a key member of the Partner Impact & Evaluation Team within the Learning and Research Department, responsible for diagnosing reporting needs, developing priorities for the reporting roadmap, and designing the next generation of school district reports. The ideal candidate is energized by data and translating data stories, service-minded, flexible, and detail-oriented.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Using Tableau, design product usage and progress reports that help school and district leaders understand and continuously improve their implementation of Lexia products;

  • Conduct data analyses to identify the "story" behind student and educator data in response to client questions;

  • Coach and develop internal teams to gain their own insights in the data stories in school and district settings;

  • Write clear and easily interpreted internal- and educator-facing responses to inquiries based on analytical findings;

  • Evaluate the utility of the existing suite of reports and design strategy to improve utility and usage of reports by internal teams;

  • Collaborate with teammates to identify and communicate data source needs, and solicit feedback during solution-development;

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for reporting procedures in tools like Confluence and Google Suite;

  • Assist team members with various data requests;

  • Serve as the project manager for a portfolio of insights tools and reports;

  • Consult with internal and external partners to uncover unmet reporting needs.

Job Requirements:

  • Education industry data visualization experience preferred;

  • Master's degree in educational evaluation, measurement, statistics, or a related field preferred;

  • Excellent data design and reporting skills;

  • Proficiency with data visualization software (Tableau preferred);

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ideally with experience translating complex technical topics to lay audiences;

  • Strong analytical skills;

  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects while maintaining attention to detail;

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities as reporting needs shift or critical customer issues arise;

  • Ability to synthesize and apply feedback from a variety of stakeholders.
