Contract to hire - Full benefits - Established Company - Growing
Training will be required regardless of experience but requiring (2) years of CNC Machinist experience. Please note : Training on the 1st shift may be required before moving to the 3rd depending on the trainer's availability.
We are seeking someone flexible to work both but who will want the 3rd shift schedule long-term. Must be able to communicate clearly despite the loud noise in the plant.
WORK IS IN GREER OFF HWY 101. Metal Fab / Production Plant (ovens to melt products give off HEAT). Must be able to work in HIGH HEAT year round.
Physically demanding compared to most CNC-related roles.
3rd shift off at $27.60 / hour
3nd shift : Monday - Sun-Thur (overtime on Fridays at times) - 10 : 50PM-7AM
IN OFFICE TESTING REQUIRED! Excellent math skills including the ability to understand fractions, decimals, and reading rulers and other measuring tools.
FIRM ATTENDANCE POLICY. You must have a valid driver's license and your own reliable vehicle to be considered.
Must be able to pass a 10-panel drug test and 7-year national criminal background check (no drug charges even misdemeanors in the past 2 years are allowed for this company).
Job tasks include BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO :
Loading and unloading Machines
Using Hoists, cranes, and forklifts
Running Shot peens and hydraulic presses
Packing springs for shipment
Checking spring dimensions with rulers, micrometers, and squares
General material handling and assisting qualified operators in their jobs
Cleaning and organizing
Demonstrating safe work behaviors
Employees must be able and willing to work in the following work environment :
Participate as part of a production team
Handle tasks require changing on a daily or more frequent basis
Work in a production cell with multiple machines and products
Learn from peers and other production employees
Work within the structure of a ISO 9001 quality system
Work permanently on the shift assigned
Experience in the above tasks is not required but strongly preferred.
Qualifications Include
At least 2 years of CNC operating experience in addition to longevity with previous employers
High School Diploma or equivalent
Excellent math skills including the ability to understand fractions, decimals, and reading rulers and other measuring tools
Ability to stand for up to ten hours at a time
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times in an hour.
