Job Description Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician, $25.00 - $30.00 hr Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm, Some weekends (subject to change with notice) Earn 1 week of vacation after 90 days of employment. Jumpstart your career and expand your professional portfolio at Energy Pellets of America. As the Electrical Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for the following:
Duties: - Electrical maintenance and repairs of wood pellet mills, hammer mills, drum dryer, dust collectors, hydraulics, augers, conveyor belts, drag chains, air compressors
- Electrical maintenance of overhead doors, lighting, light concrete work, light plumbing repairs (fixtures, lines, drywall, painting, metal siding) and other duties as needed
- Monitoring the daily operations of the plant, ensuring all equipment is running at peak performance.
- Troubleshoot and locate root cause of downtime occurrences
- Maintain and repair machinery as needed.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections and repairs
- Identify improvement opportunities on all equipment and robotics
- Design and fabricate parts for repairs or installation of new equipment
- Work in a safe manner adhering to safety guidelines
- Perform additional duties as directed.
Job Qualifications: - Must have 3-5 years of confirmed Industrial Electrical Maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of industrial three phase, high leg delta, Y/Delta transformers, switch gear, gen sets in a high voltage setting (600 VAC/VDC)
- Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, Soft Starts, photo electric sensors, motion sensors, motor controls, robotics controls, automated equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics
- Understanding of Blueprints (Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, etc)
- Knowledge of augers, conveyor belts, drag chain conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, air compressors
- Computer experience
- Welding and fabrication a plus
- Industrial Machine operating experience a plus
- Previous forklift experience
- Ability to communicate with the manufacturer of the equipment
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs
- Ability to stand on concrete for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy
- Proactive, self-motivated, and strong ability to multitask
- Well organized, sell motivated, and possess problem solving skills.
- Valid driver's License
