R.A.M.S. Mechanical Inc. is Hiring a Construction Estimator Near Brooklyn, NY

Busy mechanical construction company is looking for a motivated and positive individual for position of Construction Estimator. The ideal candidate should have experience doing estimating in Mechanical HVAC piping and duct systems for Public Projects (SCA, DDC, NYCHA, etc...) and Commercial Projects from start to finish.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $80,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year, Salary commensurate with experience

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with engineers & architects and review contract documents to determine scope of work
Attend Pre-Bid Meeting / Walk-Through / Survey
Work with vendors and subcontractors for quotations
Perform Quantity on screen takeoff
Prepare complete project estimates and prepare proposals
Prepare change order proposals and negotiation meetings
Ensure overall accuracy of the estimates
Update and Maintain company estimating software with labor productivity and unit cost
Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed
Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
