The Maintenance Technician position provides support for a U.S Department of Labor Job Corps contractor. The Job Corps program is a federally-funded residential training program. The mission of Job Corps is to provide career-ready technical and basic skills (academic) training and job placement assistance to program eligible youth ages 16-24.

Summary of Duties:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance duties and other grounds keeping, landscaping and custodial duties; performs routine and emergency cleanup.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

• Completes repairs, custodial work, grounds keeping, and other duties as necessary.
• Monitors the completion of work orders to check for quality and work completed, and provide feedback to staff/vendor as necessary.
• Ensures that the Center is always attractive, clean, safe, and in good repair.
• Works with supervisor to maintain a routine preventative maintenance program for all facilities, equipment, appliances, and vehicles on the Center.
• Completes preventative maintenance.
• Ensures pest control.

Education/Experience:

• Associate degree from a two-year college or university preferred.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check!

• As a Federal Contractor, while North Dakota law may allow individuals to consume marijuana if they have a qualifying medical condition, marijuana is still illegal under federal law. A positive drug screen with a medical marijuana card will result in an offer not being made.
