Queens Nassau Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is Hiring a Dietary Aide Near Queens, NY
Reports to the Director of Food Service
Summary:The dietary aide is responsible for providing quality food service to residents, guests and employees under sanitary conditions and for providing assistance in all dietary functions as directed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
1.High school diploma or equivalent
2.Must have knowledge and skills on computer and software
Essential Functions:
Responsible for, but not limited to:
·Provide a high standard of quality food service in accordance with Resident Care Policies and Procedures
·Deliver food to patients and residents
·Take food orders from various departments
·Obtain food and supplies as directed
·Prepare snacks, nourishments and drinks as ordered and scheduled
·Assist the dietary cook in the preparation of meals
·Maintains a clean kitchen workspace and cleans dishes
·Wash hands with proper technique
·Follow cleaning schedules and adhere them on each shift
·Clean dining room, kitchen, storage area, refrigeration equipment and freezers as directed and scheduled
·Assist delivering carts and trays as necessary
·Pass food carts to nursing units and dining room for distribution
·Make sure all storage areas are cleaned, organized and rotates at all times
·Assist the manager, dietitian, and diet tech to maintain high quality food, safety and sanitation
·Assist in preparation of food under the supervisor’s direction
·Ensure special diet trays follow diet orders before being distributed
·Recognize, remove and or report potential hazards to the manager
·Maintain all records and forms according to required time frame or as directed
·Adhere all sanitary and safety standards and regulations/laws
·Operate equipment in the department as directed and instructed
