As a Senior Procurement Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in our mission by driving cost-effective and sustainable procurement strategies.

The Senior Procurement Analyst at Quartz will be responsible for developing and executing all vendor sourcing strategies to maximize vendor value to Quartz. This position will work closely with business in developing administrative plans, evaluating product offerings, recommending suppliers, preparing financial/budgetary analysis to review vendor spend, actively negotiating vendor contracts for assigned categories or departments, and administering contracts and purchase orders.

Responsibilities

• Gathers business requirements and identifies and pre-qualifies potential suppliers. Develops and distributes RFPs/RFQs and collects bids or other information.
• Evaluates proposals/quotes based on offering quality, cost, or other criteria and recommends suppliers that are best suited to meet the organization's requirements.
  • Oversees tactical purchasing operations, such as the issuance of purchase orders or the payment of invoices.
  • Ensures that all procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.
• Ensures contracts are consistent with Quartz's strategies, goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Handles the acquisition of purchases.
  • Assures that all clarifications and amendments of negotiations are incorporated into the final contract.
  • Ensures that necessary procedural controls exist and are followed.
• Ensures vendor compliance with quality standards or regulatory requirements established by the government.
• Documents and communicates standards and requirements.
• Evaluates vendor performance and reports on findings.
• Identifies and tracks issues or non-compliance and facilitate plans for resolution or restitution.
• Assists in identification and evaluation of, and negotiation with, potential vendors or suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting.
• 4 years of contract or procurement experience.
• Working knowledge of computer software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to travel to other locations for meetings, audits and other functions.
• Ability to work with external internal customers in a problem-solving capacity and use critical judgment skills.
• Create strong relationships and provide positive experiences for internal and external partners.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

This position may work remotely but will be required to report to our office in Madison, WI. Hardware and equipment will be provided by the company, but candidates must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home.
