Mission:
Quantum’s Experiment Support Team (QUEST) provides the Department of Defense with consistent, automated, and scalable data collection and management services for our Nation’s Autonomy and Artificial Intelligence (AAI) research and development projects. QUEST provides rich curated data at the speed of mission as its contribution to inventing new ways of teaming Humans and Machines for improved outcomes. QUEST needs your assistance as a Communications Specialist to achieve these goals.
Responsibilities:
Work with all members of QUEST to implement robust data collection systems to support both test and experimentation events and exercises. Troubleshoot and repair tactical radio and field wire equipment systems. Plans, organize, direct, coordinate the employment of integrated communications systems, to include determining and identifying user requirements by analyzing the capabilities and limitations of assigned equipment. Responsible for assisting with the selection of appropriate signal sites by ground, air, or map reconnaissance, determining and coordinating logistics requirements. Plan, direct and manage the operation of various elements of an integrated communications system to include coordinating the resolution of communications difficulties between system elements. Troubleshoot, remove, reinstall, and perform maintenance on radio communications systems and other electronic items of equipment. Use Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) special and common tools to maintain equipment, identify and remove faulty equipment for repair. Provide technical assistance and the removal and reinstallation of communications equipment and accessory kits to include troubleshooting of radio, cellular and wire communications equipment. Perform Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) on all QUEST communications equipment. When necessary, plan and coordinate the installation and operation of ground FM radio and field wire communications systems, as well as air-ground radio sets, when necessary. Plan, coordinate, and direct the installation, operation and management of integrated manual and automated communications systems in support of test and experimentation events and exercises. Maintain LAN/WAN/VPN network hardware and software, security systems and communication links; manage client network LAN/WAN hardware including routers, switches, load balancers and wireless networking equipment; and perform nodal operations functions. Install, operate, deploy, provision, and maintain nodal assemblages, radios and all related COMSEC devices. Provide advice and make recommendations to the QUEST Program Manager or Team Lead on all matters pertaining to communication support.

Must be a US Citizen.
Security Clearance: Must have Secret with the ability to qualify and obtain a Top Secret/SCI.
