We are searching for a Director of Nursing (DON) to join our community Village Place Health and Rehab, a 104 bed Skilled Nursing Facility that has been completely renovated and will be reopening soon. The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for the overall clinical management of a facility.

Major Responsibilities

• Leads clinical management staff as well as floor staff in developing all aspects of clinical operations, including setting priorities and job assignments. Monitors each department's activities, implements policies, evaluates performance, provides quality care for the facility's residents.
• Responsible for overall compliance of clinical services & programs including accuracy of medication administration.
• Works collaboratively and facilitates communication with physician offices, ancillary services, responsible parties and internal care teams to deliver quality resident care.
• Works collaboratively to complete timely resident assessments and to develop & initiate the Care & Service Plan
• Supports and assists in day-to-day care and clinical needs as needed
• Conducts interviewing & hiring, evaluates employee performance, provides coaching and employee training, and delegates assignments for all direct reports.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, an RN Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must hold an maintain a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Florida.
• Minimum five (5) years management or supervisory experience in long-term care or acute care.
• Restorative or geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• Proven track record in performance management and effective leadership.
• Must possess current CPR Certification.
