Job Summary
In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to conform to the following:

Support the efforts of management in meeting profit and growth objectives as established in the strategic business plan.

Work safely, within the company guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOP) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
Summary of essential job functions
This job includes the following duties and any other as assigned by current manager Maintain work area in a present clean, safe and orderly appearance.
Daily yard check Review PM report and schedule equipment into the shop with Terminal Manager Review work load and dispatch work orders in accordance with technicians competencies
Review and prioritize driver vehicle inspection reports
Perform quality control spot checks on repairs
Review repair orders for completeness and accuracy ensuring 3 C&s are used, parts are billed and unit information is accurate.
Scan inspection paperwork into TMT
Ensure operations team is kept in the loop on ETC of repair times
Inspect shop tooling and PPE for deficiencies and cleanliness
Updater OOS and LTD google doc daily
Ensure all safety policies are being followed. LOTO, EHS etc.
Review inventory counts
Hold weekly safety meetings with team members
Perform interviews for technician candidates
Software to be used TMT/TMW OUTLOOK OFFICE

Minimum requirements
Shop, Parts, or Operational Leadership experience required
Ability to organize and multi-task

Requirements
Minimum requirements
Ability to communicate tactfully and courteously with business management employees, Suppliers, Drivers, Mechanics, and all other internal/external customers.
Must have strong technical knowledge of Class 8 tractors and diesel engines.
Ability to plan, and organize work.
Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, analyze data, and meet multiple deadlines.
Ability to take a teamwork approach to the job by cooperating with others, offering to help others when needed, and considering larger organization or team goals rather than individual concerns.
Includes the ability to build a constructive team spirit where team members are committed to the goals and objectives of the team.
TMT/TMW experience a plus Strong mechanical aptitude.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
