- Supervises fabrication, material handling, equipment and personnel
- Responsible for maintaining the quality and appearance of all fabricated parts and ensuring that all parts are made to engineering print specifications.
- Responsible for submitting daily production reports for all fabricated parts.
- Closely monitors the skills of all fabrication shop employees. Promotes the highest levels of employee morale and productivity.
- Assists in ensuring safe working conditions and promoting plant safety.
- Assists in maintaining adequate tools, supplies and equipment for plant use.
- Responsible for stocking and stock location of all raw materials used by the
- Supervises scheduling of orders and machine time
- Performs the set up and operation of all fabrication equipment as required.
- Assists Production Manager in the selection of new and replacement tooling and equipment.
- Plans work methods to maximize part output through the fabrication process.
- Uses inspection equipment and ensures that inspection of all records is completed and maintained as required.
- Assists the Production Manager in recommending procedures and equipment for handling raw sheet steel and work in process.
- Run bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches.
- Perform complex programming using all features of the press brake.
- Program the CNC to produce new parts meeting specifications.
- BS/BA in business administration or relevant field is preferred. Relevant years of experience will substitute for education experience
- Minimum 5 years as a Supervisor in a manufacturing setting/Proven leadership track record with ability to drive a team to include coaching, and performance management
- Forklift certified
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast pace, quick changing environment
