Description

Job Summary

  • Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. 
  • Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers. 
  • Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. 
  • Support the efforts of management in meeting profit and growth objectives as established in the strategic business plan. 
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and the organizations. 
  • Work safely, within the company guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOP) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA). 
  • Line Operators are responsible for Safe movement and packaging of all customers& product. 
  • They are respirable for checking and completing all required paperwork and maintaining 100% up time on production with the help of maintenance.
  • Safe operation of the FFS Line, Including the head unit, palletizer and hooder. 
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations Complete daily inspections of equipment and keep clean and in good running order Assist with railcar placement as needed Check and verify all paperwork including printer entry. 
  • Preform simple field maintenance to maintain machine up time. 
  • Keep machine properly feed with product, bag film, pallets, slip-sheets, and hood film. Communicate about any problems or concerns you may have with equipment or processes. 
  • Immediately acknowledge and/or accept responsibility for damage to product, equipment, etc… Responsible for taking direction from Supervisor and or Rail Coordinator. 
  • Responsible for any other duties as assigned by Management Position

Minimum requirements 

  • High School Education, but some college preferred. 
  • Excellent problem solving, organizational, time management and analytical skills. 
  • Exceptional communication abilities with internal and external customers. 
  • Strong computer proficiency. 
  • Understanding of an inventory system. 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team environment. 
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to perform duties in an independent manner with minimal supervision. 
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and follow-up skills. 
  • Maintain a positive attitude. 

Abilities required

  • Physically strong / healthy ; capable walking / climbing / bending. 
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions. 

Position Responsibilities

  • Attend and participate in Department Responsible Care Meetings as instructed. 
  • Attend and participate in water-cooler or tailgate meetings to discuss safety Stop, correct, or report substandard conditions and unsafe acts. 
  • Make Responsible Care suggestions to their immediate supervi­sor. 
  • Develop potential solutions for these suggestions then follow-up to ensure completion. 
  • Know and maintain good housekeeping standards in their area. 
  • Assist in the development of RC Policies and Procedures, Operating Procedures, and Safe Work Practices. Know and comply with RC Policies and Procedures, Operating Procedures, and Safe Work Practices. 
  • Attend, and participate in, Responsible Care training activities. 
  • Assist in the development of Job Safety Analyses. 
  • Participate in What-If Drills. Participate in the development of, and training in, new or transferred employee orientation as requested. 
  • Incident Notification Process Report all Incidents, injuries, and non-injury Incidents to their immediate supervisor. 
  • Adhere to Quantix Notification process that encourages reporting and participation.
