Position Title : Equipment Operator (Naples)

Location : Naples, FL

Job Category : Field Employee

Salary Interval : Hourly

Quality Enterprises is looking for Excavator and Loader Operators to join our team. The Equipment Operator operates heavy machinery for construction, demolition, or excavation projects.

Education and Experience :

  • High ? school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Experience operating construction equipment required; additional on-the-job training offered.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Operates construction, excavation, hauling, and maintenance equipment including backhoes, front-end loaders, bulldozers, excavators, or grade tractors.
  • Prepares construction sites for building, demolition, or excavation.
  • Uses excavating machinery to dig holes and trenches.
  • Transports tools and other construction equipment to and from construction sites.
  • Uses equipment to prepare job sites for parking lots, sidewalks, roadways, and utilities.
  • Operates machinery to build bridges and roads.
  • Inspects equipment prior to beginning shift.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge and Skills :

  • Extensive knowledge of heavy machinery operation and capabilities.
  • Ability to read building plans related to structural concrete and land grades.
  • Excellent mechanical skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions.

Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods of operating heavy machinery.
  • Ability to work long periods including evenings and weekends when necessary.
  • Must be able to operate machinery in extreme weather conditions and terrains.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
