Quality Behavioral Health is looking for a full-time Mental Health Crisis Responders to cover a maximum of two 24 hour on-call shifts per week. Our Designated Crisis Responders are face to face responders and cannot be done via phone or tele-commuting. This Program has a total of 4 Crisis Responders that work rotating 24 hour shifts, not to exceed 2 in any given week; some weeks (depending on rotation) only 1 shift is required.
Extra shifts are available if covering for another responder who may be ill or out on vacation. If covering for a responder who cannot cover their own shift, you are paid an extra stipend above and beyond the regular annual salary. Stipends for taking addition shifts run from $310/shift (12 hour weekdays to $600/shift (24 hours weekend. Responders are also always paid an additional $200 if their shift falls on a holiday.
Crisis Responders are paid to be on call during their shift, but only respond if an actual crisis call comes in.
This position includes the following;
Rapid response, assessment services, crisis intervention, engagement, supportive counseling, information and referral, assistance with Medicaid enrollment as appropriate, linkage to requested/necessary resources and appropriate community-based mental health and substance abuse disorder services for ongoing treatment and follow-up.
Crisis services are provided to adults, children and families under the supervision of the Crisis Program Manager and in accordance with agency specific standards
The primary goals of the QBH crisis team is to divert individuals from involuntary psychiatric treatment. The Team serves individuals throughout the community and work collaboratively with law enforcement, emergency departments and the legal system.
All applicants must have a Master’s Degree, and ability to obtain DCR status through training and shadowing. Evening and weekend work is included in the positions, along with flexibility.

Crisis Responders are not required to be on-site, but rather to carry a crisis phone and respond within 30 minutes to any calls that come in during their scheduled shift.
