JOB TITLE: Revenue Cyle Specialist

Position Summary:

The Revenue Cycle Specialist provides direct billing, collections and cash application support to assigned dental practices. The specialist is an integral part of the claims, billing and collections team and collaborates with their counterpart at dental practices. The specialist ensures critical information is provided directly to dental practices so that they can better service their patients. The specialist will also analyze reports and data to identify areas of improvement related to people, process or technology. The specialist will work with various government and non-government payors to access payment information, improve error rates and streamline processes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for collecting payment data from payors and communicating with practice level team members
• Processes payments from insurance companies
• Prepares, reviews, and sends payment data to dental practice team members
• Identifies and resolves payor and dental practice issues
• Resolves issues between payors and practice members
• Works to minimize payor errors
• Perform root cause analysis to determine origin of issues and taking steps to correct

Minimum Qualifications

• Open, honest and detailed oriented
• Possess a curious nature, passion for solving problems and courage to ask questions.
• Proficient with various software systems, Power Point, Excel and Word
• Previous revenue cycle management experience helpful but not required
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
• Analytical skills to identify key issues from large amounts of data
• Demonstrated ability to recognize opportunities for creating operational efficiencies
• Effective communicator – Both written and oral.
