Press Operator
Are you looking to work in the Louisville, KY area? We are hiring for a Metal stamping servicing company. These are temp-to-hire positions that have the opportunity to be hired on full-time (with benefits!) after 60-90 days. Apply now!
Shifts Available:
- 2nd shift Mon-Fri 2:30pm-11:00pm
- 3rd shift Sun-Thur 11:30pm-6:00am
- Overtime when needed
Pay:
- Based on position and shift ($15.45-20.04 per hour)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely start up, set up and operate Automatic Press Operations according to job specific instructions
- Positions and clamps feed guides
- Assists in threading metal strip from decoiler through pinch rollers to the die
- Assure proper packing and stacking process
- Verifies that die is clear from foreign objects
- Thread metal strip from play out reel through pinch rollers or loads hopper or conveyor with metal blanks
- Assure all adjustment i.e. to the ram, feed, and die protection
- Perform first piece, last piece, and in process quality checks
- Complete all necessary documentation (production reports, quality alerts, etc.) correctly and in a timely manner
Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED minimum
- 2 years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong Mechanical aptitude
