Qualified Staffing is Hiring a Medical Office Assistant (JK113822413) Near Harrisonburg, VA
Do you have experience working in a medical office? Our client in Harrisonburg, VA is looking to add a Medical Office Assistant to their team! This will be a full-time position, Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM. Pay will depend on experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Answering phones and triaging patient questions
- Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly manner
- Scanning medical records and posting to the appropriate area within the EMR patient chart
- Obtaining insurance referrals for in-office and procedures
- Communicating with insurance representatives, when required
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Assisting clinical staff/providers with referrals to off-site services
- Assistant billing staff with payments and appeals, when necessary
- Assistant clinical staff with communication of patient questions to the healthcare providers
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Skills:
- 2 months experience in a medical office (or education equivalent)
- Basic work processing skills (experience with EMR a plus)
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
