Our client, located in Lapeer, is looking to add a Maintenance Supervisor to their team. This is a 1st shift position with potential to be hired in after 90 days.

• Organize, lead, and provide guidance to the Maintenance team
• Completes paperwork (purchase orders, work orders, performance reviews, etc.)
• Repairs and maintains machinery, mechanical / hydraulic equipment, and buildings
• Performs preventative maintenance on all machines, tools, equipment, and facilities
• Effectively inspects and troubleshoots equipment and systems in a variety of different situations / issues
• Rebuilding, repairing, and / or replacing equipment / machinery / parts
• Communicate with management and other departments regarding maintenance issues
• Performs a variety of electrical, plumbing, and / or carpentry functions
• Electrical troubleshooting and repair
• Evaluates the need for outside contractors and obtain quotes for such proposed work
• Support production by resolving all equipment issues in a timely matter
• Help develop and maintain computer system
• Those authorized to perform machine set-ups must perform and install safety features to ensure optimum safety to the employee, operator and equipment
• May perform other related assignments as needed

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Maintenance Repair role (preferred)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Leadership skills in order to coordinate and communicate the requirements of the company to both internal support and external vendors
• Have interpersonal skills to be able to work in a team atmosphere; display a positive attitude
• Must have good attendance
• Demonstrated flexibility and initiative
• Mechanical ability and aptitude
• Proficient reading design drawings and blue prints
• Follow all established safety rules and guidelines
