Lab Technician
Monday-Friday, 8AM-4PM
$20.00 - $25.00/Hour

Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares for and carries out experimental work according to experimental plans in order to meet specific project goals.
- Maintains required inventory of samples, chemicals, and other supplies and tracks inventory.
- Properly prepares, labels and registers chemicals, reagents, enzymes, and test materials for experimental use.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of experiments containing plans, data/results and calculations.
- Develop basic understand of relevant standard industrial processes (ethanol) and related enzyme products and solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
- Demonstrates initiative in carrying out own responsibilities and good collaboration with colleagues for larger assignments.
- Understands and properly uses all basic laboratory equipment and methods relevant to the work area (HPLC, RVA).
- Maintains laboratory equipment in good working order through calibration, preventative maintenance, up-grades, and necessary repairs.
- Skilled user of computer software (including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and Company Intraweb) for recording data, calculations, graphing results, writing documents, email, internet, and office uses.
Education/Special Training Required:
- Bachelor's or associate degree in science-related field.
Other Requirements:
- Possesses the physical ability, visual acuity, and motor skills necessary to perform essential functions of the position, including operating in laboratory and industrial environments. Is able to bend, walk, and perform basic (small) equipment maintenance.
- Valid Driver's License
