Journeyman Toolmaker - DIRECT HIRE - Zeeland, MI

The Journeyman Toolmaker's role performs repairs, and improvements to molds. These efforts are to make the molds more robust and consistent over time. This is critical to our operation because only with consistent molds may we have a chance at a consistent molding process. A consistent molding process provides good parts off the press driving happy customers who want more.

Desired Qualifications

• Must know troubleshooting and manifolds.
• Mold making, repair and maintenance experience.
• Broad knowledge of molding and mold repair with the ability to diagnose and trouble shoot mechanical and electrical problems.
• Able to operate a variety of hand and power tools including the operation of a grinder, Bridgeport, sandblaster and laser welder.
• Able to work from sketches as well as electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Spotting and benching is strongly desired.
• CAD experience strongly desired.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
• Excellent interpersonal communication with internal employees.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in manufacturing desired.
• Fork Lift License
• Overhead Crane License

Experience REQUIRED:

• Manifold: 4 years (Required)
• Troubleshooting: 4 years (Required)

Pay :

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
