Job Objective: Provide accurate estimates through comprehensive analysis of bidding documents, ensuring alignment with available resources and company cost data. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to determine project costs and requirements. Develop detailed estimates for materials, labor, and subcontractors. Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing bidding documents to determine material and labor requirements.
• Utilizing quantitative techniques to analyze cost factors and establish standard hour and cost data.
• Comparing subcontract bids with in-house estimates to ensure competitiveness.
• Consulting with clients, architects, engineers, and project managers to formulate accurate estimates.
• Reviewing and adjusting estimates assembled by other estimators.
• Developing material and cost estimates for large projects based on project plans and specifications.
• Managing bids from vendors and contractors and preparing detailed cost analyses.
• Presenting estimates to management and stakeholders.
• Communicating with subcontractors and suppliers, obtaining prices, and requesting bidding clarifications.
• Collaborating with architects and engineers to assist with design decisions based on cost considerations.
• Assisting with proposal preparation and ensuring compliance with pricing requirements.
• Managing bills of materials and subcontractors.

Works directly with Project Manager or Operations Assistant in bid document preparation and reports to the Project Manager or President.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

• 10 hour shift
