Quaker Steak and Lube is Hiring a Dishwasher Near Milford, OH

Primary Duties for Dishwasher :

· Knows and follows safety

· Displays a positive attitude.

· Practices safe food handling and storage. Ensures the work area and equipment is clean and sanitized at all times.

· Follows all security guidelines and procedures.

· Follows procedures to properly preset and reset dish room. Properly cleans and provides daily maintenance to dish machine.

· Busses tables when required.

· Cleans dishes, removes trash, cleans department etc.

· Able to work well under stress and work accurately and rapidly.

· Able to work closely with other Team Members

· Uses different pieces of equipment.

· Observes the basic rules of kitchen safety, sanitation and back door safety.

· Demonstrates concern for kitchen cleanliness and personal hygiene.

· Uses First In First Out (FIFO) rule to ensure proper rotation.

· Lifts racks of glassware, cutlery, pots and pans to the dish machine or three-compartment sink. Scrapes dishes into the disposal area and cycles the dirty dishes through the dish machine.

· Places clean glassware from the dish machine to the various drinks stations
Stocks clean dishware on the cooks’ line. Hangs clean cooking utensils, pots, pans and baskets on appropriate hooks throughout the kitchen.

· Fills and changes chemicals and soap used in the dish machine - handles and uses various cleaning chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

· Performs various tasks delegated by management including but not limited to:

- Assisting in other areas of the kitchen

- Sweeping and mopping the floor

- Cleaning the coolers

- Organizing dry storage

- Scrubbing trash containers

- Maintaining the parking lot cleanliness, etc. Empties trash into the dumpster

- Sorts flatware into bins for proper cleaning and sanitizing.

- Maintains kitchen surroundings, including floors, in the manner that meets Quaker Steak & Lube’s® standards of cleanliness, sanitation and health regulations.

Physical Requirements / Qualifications

Lift and carry cases of food, supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds.
Carry bus tubs weighing up to 40 pounds
Frequently bend, stoop, reach, & must be able to use arms above head/shoulder
Climb a ladder or “step-up” to reach supplies stored in overhead areas.
Stand/walk for shifts up to eight hours
Able to relate well with people, read and write.
