QTEC Aerospace is seeking a SYSTEM ENGINEER to join our team of professionals in Colorado Springs, CO. Job Summary

QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The successful candidates will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Missile Defense programs.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:

• Perform use case development and prepare systems engineering artifacts to implement customer-requested capabilities
• Support the development and review of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, architectural documentation, system engineering estimates, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews
• Support various tasks on short notice
• Review content and details of technical products
• Act as a technical interface to MDA working-level counterparts on an as-required basis

Minimum Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a master's degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related experience, or equivalent

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to be part of an integrated team tasked with developing and maintaining the physical, functional, and technical requirements baselines necessary to describe the desired capabilities of an evolving MDS Command & Control system
• Demonstrated experience in mission analysis with skill in developing use cases, sequence diagrams, and SysML modeling in support of MBSE
• Requirements elicitation, derivation, and decomposition to lower-level subsystems and components
• Experience with maintenance of system and component baselines in a requirement management system
• Ability to define the relationships between internal and external components
• Experience communicating system-level use cases and associated Epics and Feature relationships to a diverse group of customers, developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users
• Skills-generating system/element level functional, performance, and interface specifications to document and control the achievement of the desired capabilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed
• Self-motivated and customer-oriented

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Experience with other Space Domain and Missile Defense Systems is highly desired
• Experience with Agile Methods, Epic, and feature definition is a significant plus
• Skills in logical architecture modeling and/or interface definition, knowledge of cyber security concepts, and security accreditation are highly desirable
• Active Top Secret
• Security Certification

Security Clearance

Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.

Salary Range

$120,000 - $183,000

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
