Duration - 12 months, W2 Contract
Job DescriptionThe responsibility of the accounting department is to oversee all of the operations and procedures regarding the flow of money for our company. All accounting for our branch offices is conducted from the Altamonte Springs office. This job is to work in conjunction with the Controller in assisting her in all accounting procedures and functions as assigned. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Completing accounts receivable, billing functions and collections for Box and Service Sales
- Daily bank deposits
- Credit Card processing and monthly merchant account reconciliation
- Keep current price lists from vendors and payment terms up-to-date in software programs.
- Reconciling invoice details including product, quantity, pricing and shipping against purchase orders
- Process accounts payable, authorizing payment for purchases by coding and entering supplier invoices in ComputerEase job costing software
- Monitor discount opportunities with vendors, verify and resolve invoice discrepancies and documentation
- Assisting accounting department with various accounting functions that may require special reports, references, or the collection of data for audits, charts, graphs
- Being able to work with Excel, Word and RBF's accounting system is a requirement to being successful in this position.
- Working with other Rauland-Borg Corporation of Florida's offices/personnel will be required to show continuity within the State of Florida.
- General Office duties and special assignments by the Controller and/or senior management are other important aspects of this position.
SkillsUnderstand our markets and industry. Must have good communication skills to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, contractors, etc. Must have computer experience, preferably in ComputerEase, Windows and Microsoft Office programs. Be willing to attend computer classes to enhance computer skills. Have a positive attitude and be confident about yourself. Be willing to learn both in an organized and classroom environment and on your own.
