Position Overview

QinetiQ US is looking for Software Engineers that will be part of an exciting initiative within a growing mission! This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team tasked with the design, implementation, and maintenance of a low-to-high (cross domain) software development and deployment architecture for a mission-oriented client. This capability will allow teams of developers to rapidly incorporate cutting-edge tools and technologies to mission applications, enabling critical operational support. A modern DevOps software stack and associated methodologies are a cornerstone of this emerging paradigm.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, using a variety of DevOps tools
• Maintain cross domain architecture
• Ensure rapid deployment of applications that incorporate new features and capabilities and meet the organization’s security requirements
• Ensure a stable operating environment in both cloud and on-prem environments
• Integrate complex applications with external systems, services, and data providers

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI w/ Poly required #qinetiqclearedjob
• Experience with DevOps tools and technologies, including GitLab, Jenkins, automated test tools, Docker, Rancher, and Kubernetes
• Experience working in and maintaining environments in AWS or Azure
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation)
• Comfortable in Linux environments (including on-prem and cloud)
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience engaging with government stakeholders to develop requirements and capability needs
• IA Certification (Security , Network , CISSP, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS and managed cloud services
• Experience in an Agile development environment
• Experience using open source and licensed metrics and monitoring tools
• AWS Cloud Certifications (Associate or Professional)
