The Accounting Clerk is responsible for verifying accuracy, coding/resolving, and approving invoices related to Accounts Receivable/Payable in a timely and efficient manner. Essential Duties Evaluate and approve orders for shipment based on customer credit and payment history. Set up new customers, shipping addresses, and sales tax codes Set up and maintain vendor/supplier information in ERP Billing support Verify supplier invoices with purchase orders and receipt record Independently identify discrepancies, research variances, and communicate to internal and external customers Manage the 1099 process on an annual basis Monthly reconciliation of asset and liability accounts, including bank reconciliations Maintaining of customer/supplier master files Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor Position Requirements Education/Certifications Post-secondary Accounting Degree desirable. Minimum of 2 years Accounts Receivable/Billing/General ledger or Equivalent experience, experience with an Oracle or equivalent system desirable Good understanding of general accounting terms and concepts.
