Q'Straint is Hiring a Production Team Lead Near Fort Lauderdale, FL
- Functional production lead who directs day-to-day activities of manufacturing and assembly personnel, within a designated area, and ensures activities are performed in a safe, efficient and effective manner. Position does NOT have direct hiring/firing/disciplinary responsibilities.
- Provide day-to-day direction of production team and handle questions, concerns or issues regarding manufacturing as related to daily activities
- Monitor and direct production activities to ensure customer, quality and team output performance requirements are met
- Assist with Material Management
- Lead efforts to ensure Bill of Materials/Operations/Batch Quantities are validated
- Assist with coordination of cycle/physical counts as required
- Provide area training to production personnel
- Maintain production supplies inventory
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of area/facility, and assist in general maintenance of plant equipment
- Assist with implementation and monitoring of methods, procedures, policies and projects to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Review and retain production documents and reports
- Perform other duties as may be required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4 years’ experience in roles of increasing responsibility in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- 2 years’ experience in working in an ERP/MRP production environment
- Computer skills; email and general business software (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Demonstrated Leadership skills
- Basic to Intermediate Math and Reading Comprehension skills
- Demonstrated Communication (oral and written) & Interpersonal skills
- Effective Planning and Organizational skills
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and operate specified product equipment, a vehicle, telephones, and other office and technology equipment requiring gross and fine motor skills, and to employ eye-hand coordination
- Frequently required to view detailed drawings or reports closely
- Occasionally required to stoop and/or kneel and lift and/or move and/or carry 30 pounds or more
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Requires routine and frequent meeting of critical deadlines and details, which may be stressful
- Exposure to shop elements (E.g. noise, moving parts and equipment, dust and fumes)
- Noise level is usually moderate to high and moderate to low indoor temperatures or climate controls
