Job Description: Q.E.D. Systems, Inc., an experienced marine engineering, planning, and ship modernization firm, is seeking a Quality Manager in its Norfolk, VA office. The QA Manager is responsible for reviewing products and materials during manufacturing to make sure they meet company and customer quality standards.

Job Requirements / Skill Sets:

The candidate shall be able to perform the following tasks:

• Lead activities and reporting to support ISO 9001 certification and adhere to DOD requirements for fabrication and machining processes.
• Develop and oversee quality control tests to ensure compliance with ISO, DOD, and customer standards, inspecting at various production stages.
• Set requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor compliance to ensure high-quality inputs.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations specific to the defense industry and ISO standards.
• Supervise and provide guidance to inspectors, technicians, and other staff members.
• Oversee product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards.
• Maintain documentation and perform statistical analysis to meet ISO and DOD reporting requirements.
• Engage with customers to gather feedback and ensure product requirements are met, aiming for continuous improvement.

• Candidates shall demonstrate five (5) or more years of shipboard trade experience.An additional three (3) or more years of ship maintenance QA experience is required.
• A Quality Assurance Level II certification is required to support all weld and NDT inspections, personnel training, testing and certification.

Educational Requirements: High School diploma or higher

Security Clearance/Naval Facility Access: U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to meet and maintain eligibility for U.S. Secret Clearance and/or be able to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.
