IQVIA in partnership with ITF Therapeutics are excited to announce that we are seeking candidates for the role of Head of Field Engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to launch an approved product for the treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

The Head of Field Engagement will act as the primary link between the ITF Therapeutics and IQVIA to manage the entire spectrum of the IQVIA deliverables, including the Salesforce, Trade and Managed Markets, Marketing services, and the Project Management Office (PMO - Technology and Sales Operations support). He/she will oversee and manage program governance and will work cross functionally across IQVIA and the client(s) to ensure alignment. In the role of Head of Field Engagement for IQVIA and ITF Therapeutics, candidates must be strong people managers, as well as possess a passion for developing leading sales teams to achieve business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Four-year college degree (B.A., B.S. or equivalent) required; graduate degree (e.g. MBA) preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years combined previous management experience at the District, Regional, National level required; Vice President level preferred
  • Experience selling and managing selling in rare disease required; neuromuscular products preferred and Duchenne muscular dystrophy preferred​
  • Product launch experience​ required
  • Account Management experience in a multidisciplinary setting required
  • Valid driver’s license required​
  • Experience working with a start-up or high growth organization​ preferred
  • Experience working in market access or marketing preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to assemble and lead cross-functional teams toward a shared vision of success​
  • Demonstrated ability to execute against strategic and tactical plans under tight timelines​
  • Demonstrated ability to present ideas effectively to individuals or groups, targeting presentation to the needs of the audience​

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Vice President of Sales will ensure IQVIA is able to meet all goals and deliverables set for the client by:

  • Ownership and delivery of sales results by developing and executing business and sales strategies aligned with launch objectives to deliver on monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Recruit, interview and select Sales Representatives and subordinate Field Managers
  • Handle performance reviews, personnel issues, discipline and termination of Sales Representatives and subordinate District Managers
  • Participate in the design and execution of incentive compensation programs
  • Generate sales in line with project goals as set by Client and agreed upon by IQVIA
  • Act as the primary link between the Client and IQVIA for all operational and human resources/personnel needs relating to the Sales Force
  • Provide monthly reports to the Client
  • Make regular field visits: to develop and motivate Sales Representatives for attainment of sales objectives; to assess and monitor field activity and work schedules; to monitor and manage field reporting by Sales Representatives, including call and sample reporting
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of training and periodic sales meetings
  • Review and approve expense reports; monitor compliance with expense policies
  • Monitor compliance with Promotional Program, and proper use of Promotional Materials and Promotional Expense Budgets
  • Monitor time-keeping and attendance

The potential base pay range for this role is $225,000 - $275,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
