Job Description:

Duties: Putnam|Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates operating a 6-week ESY Program for students with disabilities from July 1, 2024 through August 9, 2024. Teacher Aide candidates are needed to work with students with disabilities in a variety of programs. The position requires an ability and willingness to assist students in areas such as: managing behavior, lifting and assisting to enable all self-care activities, mobility, communication, therapies, and feedings.

To begin July 1, 2024 (Only those who can work the full 6-week program and those who are available to attend the ESY Orientation on June 4, 2024 at 3:00 PM need apply).

Qualifications: Must possess the appropriate New York State licensure to hold position.

Characteristics Desired: Extensive knowledge of instructional approaches for students with autism, emotional/behavioral disorders and/or multiple disabilities. Must be driven, organized and have the ability to positively manage students. Successful candidates must have a positive, can-do attitude and be committed to the BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
