Job Summary:

The Kaizen Production Office (KPO) Leader position is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of Kaizen, to include focusing on creating a workplace culture that encourages employees in all facets of the company to streamline and improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Supervisor Responsibilities: This job may have supervisory responsibilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Lead and develop the Kaizen Promotion Office (KPO) team to identify and execute process improvements through relentless pursuit of eliminating waste from the manufacturing processes, championing one piece flow, ensuring unwavering quality while safeguarding our employees’.

· Plan and execute kaizen workshops, applying kaizen tools to support processes and flow lines.

· Communicate and present ideas, improvements, and accomplishments to colleagues.

· Motivate, coach and mentor Lean Thinking local champions. Grow Pursuit’s kaizen muscle.

· Manage Projects from start to finish including project development, implementation, and review.

· Design, build and implement right size machinery to facilitate one piece flow, assuring adherence to Pursuit's Universal No's and operator safety.

· Participate in the planning and facilitate the execution of all Strategic Deployment projects.

· Assist in organizing and follow-up of all Lean activities, SD Projects, and Kaizen Workshops.

· Schedule Daily Genba Walk follow up.

· Lead, manage and support the business units on the 6S process for the site.

· Provide creative and innovative hands-on solutions to facilitate easier work methods for the operator.

· Work in a team-based environment and individual projects.

· Identify and execute workshops that include people, material and information flow, mistake proofing, quick change fixturing, standardization, quick and hands-free clamping, and hands-free loading and unloading.

· Travel to other Pursuit sites to participate and lead kaizen workshops.

· Research, understand and implement new technologies for cost savings and process improvements.

· Manage the Moonshine Shop and employees.

· Collaborate with all levels within the organization such as Operators, Engineers, Leads, Quality, EH&S, and Pursuit's KPO.

· Work with customers on quality issues and escapes.

· Establish and sustain Pursuit’s Tier Review processes. Help implement root cause and corrective actions at each Tier level.

Job Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:

· Must be self -motivated with a sense of urgency, resourcefulness, and adaptability.

· Must have worked in a CNC Machining facility previously.

· Demonstrated kaizen experience and sound understand of kaizen tool use.

· Strong understanding of mechanical components and machine design.

· Communication & problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently.

· Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.

· Minimum of college degree or significant work experience equivalent, engineering preferred.
