The Business Development ExpansionSpecialist plays a critical role in expanding Purple Wave's business and name recognition in newer and expanding markets, with a focus on agriculture, construction and fleet industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry influencers and potential customers to increase Purple Wave's visibility and brand recognition.
  • Build and maintain relationships with buyers, sellers and customers through regular communication and follow-ups.
  • Conduct outbound touches to raise awareness of upcoming auctions, asset inventory and packages.
  • Manage customer and seller relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Respond to inbound sales inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Represent Purple Wave by attending and participating in trade shows, conferences, and similar events to promote our services, auctions, and assets.
  • Responsible for gathering and entering customer information and opportunities in CRM and other applications to maintain a high level of communication to all team members.
  • Ensure successful execution and support of all phases of the auction/sales process.
  • Undertake additional assigned duties as requested.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years sales experience
  • Ability to work remotely and maintain and achieve specific goals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems quickly
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and take on new tasks
  • Requires a self-motivated person who can take initiative, maintain high ethical standards, and positively represent our company to customer base
  • Spanish speaking bi-lingual candidates encouraged to apply
  • Candidates may be requested to complete position specific skills assessments
  • Applicants must be either a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Requires the ability to satisfactorily complete a background check

Working Settings:

  • Full-time Salaried Exempt, not eligible for overtime
  • Office hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, additional hours may be required depending on priorities
  • This position is remote in the specified region.
  • Expected to travel 25-35% of the time depending on region, availability and business needs
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Compensation:

  • The salary varies based on experience and qualifications, but typically ranges from $65,000 to $75,000 per year.
  • Monthly Bonus Program - determined by the Company’s monthly revenue result and are paid on a “percent to plan” payout formula. (90% = $300, 100% = $600, 110% = $900, 120% = $1,200)
  • Possibly eligible for end of year bonus based on the number of assets purchased meeting minimum target value. 
  • Monthly phone stipend in accordance with the Company’s cell phone policy, currently $120/month
  • Health, Dental, and Vision starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment
  • 401(k) plan with an employer match up to 4% starting the first day of employment
  • Company-paid Life Insurance benefit of $25,000 with options to add more through employee contribution starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment
  • Personal Time Off (PTO) annual amount of 120 hours which is prorated based on the number of days between the 60th day of employment and the end of the calendar year
