Job Description

We are looking for a Purchaser/Buyer who will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing components necessary for our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management, excellent negotiation skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role requires someone who can work collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials while optimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase components, materials, and supplies needed for production.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
• Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluations and issue resolution.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as engineering, production, and quality assurance to forecast demand and plan procurement activities.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on metrics such as quality, delivery, and cost.
• Stay updated with market trends, industry developments, and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Purchaser/Buyer, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Familiarity with supply chain processes, inventory management, and logistics.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
