Duties:
- Provide personal care to patients in their homes, nursing homes, or hospice care settings.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medication and monitor patients' vital signs.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Document patient care activities and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in caregiving or home care is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care and experience working with patients with dementia is a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature to provide quality patient care.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of healthcare systems.
