Job Summary:The Assistant Manager, Social Media will play a key role in enhancing the online presence of our brands and engaging our target audience across various social media platforms. This position oversees the creation of engaging digital content, execution of monthly calendars, and regular measurement across Pure Fishing's social media platforms. The Assistant Manager, Social Media will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote brand stories and seasonal initiatives, driving engagement and brand loyalty.This posting is for two open roles starting in May of 2024, with recruitment to be finalized in the fall of 2023. One role will focus on our freshwater fishing brands and the other on saltwater.Essential Functions:Content Creation and Curation:Assist in the creation and curation of engaging and visually appealing content for various social media platforms, including text, images, videos, and graphicsSocial Media Calendar Management:Help develop and maintain a content calendar, ensuring content is diverse and aligns with marketing initiativesCommunity Engagement:Monitor social media channels and engage with our audience by responding to comments, messages, and mentionsCurate UGC for owned social media channelsAnalytics and Reporting:Track and analyze key performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of social media campaignsPrepare regular reports and provide insights to guide future strategiesTrend Analysis:Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practicesRecommend and implement innovative strategies to stay ahead of the competitionCollaborative Teamwork:Work closely with the Social Media Manager and cross-functional teams to align social media efforts with overall marketing goals and campaignsAssist in brainstorming and implementing creative ideas to increase brand visibility and engagementBuild and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including photographers, videographers, content creators, and influencersQualifications:A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related fieldProven experience in managing social media platforms for brands, either through internships or previous positionsBasic knowledge of graphic design and video editing tools or software (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Canva, CapCut, InShot, etc.)Previous experience using social media management and analytics tools is a plusDesire to continually learn the latest platforms, technology tools and marketing solutionsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)A proven ability to adhere to strict deadlinesStrong sense of accountabilityStrong organizational skillsCreative mindset with a passion for staying updated on industry trendsAbility to work in a collaborative team environmentKnowledge of and passion for fishing and other outdoor activities; knowledge of wider pop culture and entertainment landscape is appreciatedAble to travel about 10% of the year
