Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4pm.Job Description: The role of the School psychologist is to collaborate with parents, school staff, and students to promote a healthy learning environment that focuses on the cognitive, social, emotional and personal development of all students. School psychologists support students by promoting college, career and community readiness through a variety of interventions, assessments, evaluations and school programming opportunities.Qualifications:Must possess and maintain proper certification by state law and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction license #7062.Demonstrated ability to:work collaborativelycarry out emergency/crisis response proceduresperform all computer technology tasks associated with the positionmaintain confidentiality and maintain legal and ethical practicescommunicate positively/effectively with students, parents, staff, community membersCommitment to the Pulaski Board of Education Educational PhilosophyDemonstrated skills in positive human relations and cultural competenceDemonstrated skills in problem solving and conflict managementKnowledge and experience with psycho-educational evaluationsAbility to work collaboratively with students, professional staff, support staff, administrators and parents to improve the academic, social and emotional development of children with disabilitiesProvide consultation to school and community agency personnelKnowledge of IDEA and special education law and processesKnowledge of Section 504 legislation and processesSkills and knowledge related to RTI, PBIS and facilitation of building consultation teams (problem-solving teams)Skills related to individual and small group intervention to address social, emotional, academic, and developmental needsData based decision making and accountabilityEssential Job Functions:Assist in developing programs for all studentsCollect, analyze and interpret data to assist in the problem-solving processes to improve student performance and developmentKeep abreast of developments in the field of school psychology so as to furnish leadership in determining appropriate instruction for each studentMust be able to:arrive at work promptly and attend regularlyfollow directions and work well with otherswork under the stress of deadlinesconcentrate and perform tasks accuratelyreact to change productivelyperform other tasks as assigned by the Director of Student Services
