TITLE: Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist 
REPORTS TO: Accounts Receivable Supervisor 
JOB DUTIES / GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 
Job Summary: Performs collection duties associated with delinquent or outstanding accounts.
Job Duties:
Calls, emails, and or sends letters of notification to clients who are overdue on invoices and pursues collection of payments.
Resolves escalated account and nonpayment disputes.
Adheres to all operational guidelines for calling on clients who have outstanding balances and liaisons with accounts receivable on matters of risk associated with those customers.
Records all documentation for received payments, and tracks those that are still outstanding.
May perform other accounting or accounts receivable tasks as assigned.
 
Experience and Education:
Performs work under general supervision.
Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 2 to 4 years of experience.
 
Reports to: Typically reports to a department head or manager.
