FLSA STATUS:This is a full-time non-exempt, hourly position

TYPICAL WORK SCHEDULE (DAYS/HRS PER WEEK): 40 hours per week. This position will be scheduled to work any of 5 days Sunday through Saturday for any 8-hour shift between 9: am to 12 midnight. The Simulcast Shift Supervisor is required to work weekends and holidays.

JOB PURPOSE: Manage Sports Betting operations during one shift, including supervision of tellers, handling shift open / close functions, and resolving customer disputes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ensures that customer service quality and operational standards are met throughout the shift
• Receives cash from customers placing bets on Horse/Sport wagers

• Downloads racing profile programs. Changes race track listings on receivers from Dish Network as needed
• Supervises tellers per shift, overseeing customer service, betting, and teller closing process
• Opens Sports Betting operations. Setting all receivers, putting all terminals into operation, getting all monies necessary for opening and/or
• Closes out shift’s operations. At shift end, totals out all monies received from all racing programs. Enters shift’s totals into computer reports to transmit to revenue and accounting, reconciling funds received to ensure accuracy. Oversees and ensures accuracy of teller’s shift totals. .Handles physical transfer of all monies received to cage cashier.
• Resolves customer disputes and recommends solutions to Sports Betting Manager as needed
• Provides input to Sports Betting Manager to determine manpower requirements and shift schedules
• Assists in establishing procedures pertaining to the proper coordination of all operating activities relating to Sports Betting operations
• Ensures a safe working environment for all employees
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):

• Must be 21 years or older
• Experience in delivering quality customer service in a busy, high-energy, team-focused environment
• Experience with cash handling and reconciliation
• Supervisory experience or demonstrated ability to direct and motivate others
• Excellent math and counting skills
• Experience with Excel and other computer software
• Ability to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED required and a minimum of 4 years of lead or supervisory experience in heavy cash handling settings, such as banking, retail, or related fields for a total of 6 years of experience
• Previous experience in banking, retail, or customer service environment
• Knowledge of Sports Betting, horse racing and/or simulcast operations
